The Jack and Lilyan Mandel Building at The Temple-Tifereth Israel was dedicated on September 11, 2016. The building was the result of a $16 million lead gift made by the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation. The gift was given as a “challenge grant” that enabled the Temple to raise enough funds for the $32 million project.

Morton L. Mandel participated in the day’s events and shared thoughts about his brother Jack. Mort told the audience, “My brother, Jack, would be pleased to know that his brothers – his lifelong partners in business and philanthropy – were able to help this congregation transform a good temple building into a great and wonderful temple building.”
