United Hatzalah

United Hatzalah is Israel’s only nationwide, fully-volunteer emergency medical service (EMS) which trains and equips citizens to provide free, on-scene medical treatment during the critical period between the onset of a crisis and the arrival of traditional ambulance assistance. Since 2020, the Mandel Foundation has provided $1.85 million to United Hatzalah to support emergency relief efforts in Ukraine and Israel. Funding from the Foundation has supported EMS medics responding to missile, drone, and terror attacks, while also attending to routine emergency medical needs such as emergency births and cardiac incidents.
