MidTown Cleveland

MidTown Cleveland, founded in 1982 by Mort Mandel and other local business leaders, guides the development of the ‘Midtown’ business and residential neighborhood located between Downtown Cleveland and University Circle. Foundation funding has supported the hiring of a Director of Planning and Placemaking, the creation of a wayfinding program, an increase in green space and the completion of numerous public art and housing projects. These endeavors have positively transformed the look and feel of the neighborhood since the days when the brothers’ Premier Industrial offices were located on Euclid Avenue in MidTown. The Foundation provides annual support that is matched by member support from businesses located in the neighborhood and helps MidTown to grow its relationships with these organizations and create real buy-in on projects and initiatives. The Foundation’s support will continue to provide MidTown with the tools and resources needed to achieve impact and transform the area from a “pass-through” neighborhood to a destination.
