M²: The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education

M² helps educators and organizations design meaningful, values-driven experiences that help learners strengthen their Jewish identity. Through a cohort-based model M² has trained more than 4,000 educators across 40+ cohorts in over 20 countries. The Mandel Foundation first supported its Center for Values in Action with a $1.3 million grant through the Jewish Community Response and Impact Fund during the pandemic and went on to support its work with the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland. This relationship was strengthened in 2025 with funds allocated to the New Professionals Institute and the Community Cohorts for Mid-Career Professionals program. Later the same year, additional funding was allocated for the expansion of the 18x18 Compass Initiative to reach Jewish leaders in more than 300 organizations, ensuring the long-term capacity of M² and deepening the Foundation’s commitment to excellence in Jewish education.
