- Jewish Federations of North America
The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) represents approximately 150 independent Jewish Federations and 300 communities in their efforts to protect and enhance the well-being of Jews worldwide. Through its partnership, the Mandel Foundation has supported dozens of projects and programs throughout Israel and directly supported several key JFNA initiatives.
These include the Mandel Center for Leadership Excellence Program, established in 2005, and the LiveSecure Community Fund, which provides local Federations with training, tools and resources to strengthen security at synagogues, schools, senior centers, camps and community centers.
The Foundation also supports JFNA’s LiveTogether initiative to help Federations strengthen civic engagement and community relations and the Jewish Talent Strategy Initiative. An initial $10 million investment in 2023 was expanded in 2026 through an $11.5 million three-year grant for executive leadership training and early-career professional development. Together, these investments help ensure a resilient leadership pipeline to sustain a thriving Jewish community throughout North America.
