Jewish Community Center of Greater Boston

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Boston (JCC of Greater Boston) has been providing health, education, wellness, and Jewish cultural enrichment programs since 1972, serving over 50,000 members and friends annually. When the demand for JCC programs exceeded capacity in 2021, the Mandel Foundation provided a grant to fund the expansion of their Discovery After School Club. The Club is an immersive, experiential learning opportunity for families who seek quality after school care for their children with play-based Jewish learning and identity building that is relevant, meaningful, and accessible. Sharing a common vision with the JCC of helping successive generations discover the meaning and significance of Judaism and Jewish culture, the Foundation approved additional funding in 2022 and 2024. These funds will establish a second location in the area of Brookline, MA; support the continued growth of high-quality early childhood education; fund after-school programs and summer camps; increase the tuition assistance program; and support the continued development of a thriving Jewish life in Boston communities.
