Jerusalem Foundation

Established in 1966 by the legendary Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, the Jerusalem Foundation is the leading grantmaking institution in Jerusalem, supporting projects and initiatives that promote communal strength, creative culture, and future leadership. Through the Mandel Foundation’s 2021 program grant, the Jerusalem Foundation furthered its support of creative culture by launching the SidraTarbut program in the summer of 2021. Initially designed to provide respite from the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the SidraTarbut program has offered nearly 100 free or significantly subsidized cultural events to Jerusalem residents over the past two years, featuring the work of local artists and performances by cultural producers. The events have engaged tens of thousands across the city with content specifically tailored for each unique population group.
