Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Sports Center

Supported by a $5 million Mandel Foundation capital grant in 2021 to the Jerusalem Foundation, with matching funding from the Jerusalem Municipality, the new Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Sports Center in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina will be the first community sports center in East Jerusalem. Designed by the leading Israeli firm Galpaz Architecture and Engineering and featuring three separate indoor pools, a fully equipped fitness center, and several areas for recreational activity, the Mandel Community Sports Center represents an opportunity for more equal access to community resources for all residents of Jerusalem. Construction of the Center is expected to be completed in 2025.
