- Greater Cleveland Food Bank
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest provider of emergency food assistance in Northeast Ohio, working with more than 1,000 partners to provide nutritious food and essential resources to neighbors facing hunger. In 2020, the Mandel Foundation awarded two $1 million grants to support the Food Bank’s COVID-19 response, helping expand drive-through distributions, food delivery for seniors and people with disabilities, child-friendly food bags, and emergency food boxes.
In 2025, the Foundation made an additional $1 million gift to establish the Food Bank’s Resiliency Fund, strengthening its ability to purchase food, respond to reductions in public nutrition support, and meet heightened community needs. Together, these grants advance the Mandel Foundation’s commitment to Greater Cleveland’s essential civic institutions as they respond to urgent needs and build long-term community resilience.
