Eilat Foundation

The Eilat Foundation is a volunteer led philanthropic organization serving Eilat, Israel, once known for being a seaside tourist destination in the most southern part of Israel. In the days following the October 7 attacks, Eilat became a place of refuge for over 60,000 displaced residents, doubling its population in less than a week. The Mandel Foundation’s support of Eilat Foundation began in 2021 to establish the Eilat International Shakespeare project, which was tremendously successful in its first three years, becoming a highly anticipated cultural event, fostering community engagement, and providing enriching experiences for over 100 teens each summer. Continued annual funding reinforces the Foundation’s belief in the power of art and humanities’ role in personal development and community.
