- DigitalC
DigitalC is a non-profit internet service provider committed to bridging Greater Cleveland’s digital divide by providing residents with equitable access to the digital future. In 2021, the Mandel Foundation partnered with the David and Inez Myers Foundation to make a transformative investment in DigitalC, significantly increasing its capacity and accelerating the adoption of broadband infrastructure throughout the city. As the least connected major city in the United States, Cleveland experienced the profound and far-reaching negative impact of this “digital divide” during the pandemic. Support of $18 million from the Mandel Foundation served as a call to action and a catalyst to city and state leadership. Through a combination of public and private investment, DigitalC will bring internet and digital literacy services to thousands of households across the city, increasing equitable access to this essential utility in Cleveland neighborhoods.
