Cleveland Public Theatre

In 2024, the Mandel Supporting Foundation approved a challenge grant of $4 million to the Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) in support of a $12 million multi-phase renovation of its Gordon Square campus. CPT serves as an epicenter of theater, arts experiences and arts education in Cleveland, drawing approximately 21,000 visitors annually through performances and programs that amplify underrepresented voices and local artists. Renovations will include a new lobby and entrance, student classrooms and arts equipment, event space renovations and ADA compliance upgrades. By completing these renovations, CPT hopes to attract new and larger audiences, expand youth arts enrichment, and increase regional access to professional theater.
