- Cleveland Public Library
Founded in 1869, the Cleveland Public Library serves the residents of Cleveland through its network of 27 neighborhood branches, the Main Library downtown, Public Administration Library at City Hall, homebound media delivery services and mobile services to daycare and senior centers. The Mandel Foundation has supported the library system since the 1960s with small operational grants, and in 2022 the Mandel Foundation Board of Trustees granted $3 million to establish the Mandel Workforce and Senior Digital Innovation Lab, a creative, collaborative and educational space that provides access to advanced software, emerging technologies, STEM education and workforce and career development at the Library’s Glenville Branch – an investment in the east side Cleveland neighborhood where the Mandel brother were raised.
