- Breaking Through Inc.
Launched in 2025, Breaking Through Inc. (BTI) is dedicated to developing actionable strategies to reduce negative perceptions of Jews, using behavioral science to reshape how Americans perceive Jews and reduce antisemitism at its roots. In the United States, antisemitism is on the rise, with an estimated 20% of Americans holding antisemitic beliefs. The Mandel Foundation supported BTI’s pilot initiative grounded in proprietary research methodologies designed to develop a framework of targeted messages, programs and partnerships that shift attitudes and build lasting understanding, particularly among individuals who are not yet antisemitic but vulnerable to misinformation, stereotyping, and social division. BTI has also identified a significant perception gap among Americans who view Jews positively but feel disconnected from them, often relying on stereotypes in the absence of personal experience. BTI aims to close this gap and reshape negative perceptions by fostering empathy and familiarity through evidence-based messaging, local engagement and targeted media strategies.
