Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design

Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem is recognized as Israel’s preeminent academic institution for art, design and architecture. The Mandel Foundation began providing general support to Bezalel in 1992 and has sponsored the annual End of Year Exhibition for over twenty years. In 2015 and 2022, the Foundation significantly increased its investment in Bezalel with $30 million in capital gifts to construct the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building and Campus, which was completed in 2023. Bezalel’s new home, located in the center of Jerusalem, brings together 2,500 art students and 500 faculty members in a state-of-the-art facility, helping to reinvent Israel’s capital city as a national and international center for culture and creativity.
