- Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
The Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is one of Israel’s leading research universities and plays a central role in developing industry, agriculture and education in the Negev. The Mandel Foundation and Ben-Gurion’s shared interest in strengthening the leadership and management of nonprofit organizations led to a $10 million grant in 2014 to construct the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Institute for Social Leadership. The Mandel Institute’s flagship program is the highly selective Mandel Social Leadership MBA Program, which aims to train and develop young people who have already made an impact as social leaders and who are interested in a springboard to the world of high-quality management in social and public organizations in Israel. Presently, the Mandel Foundation provides annual funding to continue programming, maintain relationships among graduates, and create and support peer groups of experts with similar backgrounds who share knowledge and practical experience.
